Communication Expectations
All incoming emails, orders, issues, etc. will be handled in the order they arrive. I will also personally reach out to those still to be helped to let you know that I’m so happy to see you, you matter and I’ll get to you as quickly as I can. Please bear with me as I am a one woman/mom show. Your patience is immensely appreciated. You are the reason I am here.
Shipping
Orders are processed in the order they arrive. I am a one woman show and will be as efficient as I can. Once orders are processed, they will be shipped within 3-4 business days. You will be provided with a tracking number for each order via email. Any incident to your order once in the care of the delivery service will be the responsibility of the delivery service. Refunds will not be granted for lost or stolen items.
Returns/Refunds

Due to the unique nature of my pieces, returns and refunds will be handled on a case by case basis, and at my discretion. There are no guarantees. I assure you that I will not stop until a reasonable solution is reached. Please know that your satisfaction and happiness with my work and your experience is of the utmost priority.

Repair/Replace
Depending on the issue, repairs and/or replacements will be available at little to no cost for those services.
The only required costs for you guys is shipping it to me for services. I cover the shipping when services are completed. For example, if a jump ring got snagged, and a clasp went missing, I would take care of that for free and ship it right back. If a part needed to be ordered, you may only be responsible for a small portion of the costs. Especially, if it’s a higher grade metal. Like I said, it will depend on the situation.
Simply send over an email regarding the issue and I’ll get you taken care of as quickly as possible.
While creating the jewelry pieces, I am mindful of sensitive skin types and strive only to use hypoallergenic and/or plated metals. Plated materials will have various base metals. I stay with hypoallergenic brass, stainless, or sterling base metals. So, if an allergic reaction happens from what I know to be hypoallergenic, or anything that’s VINTAGE, while very unfortunate, these situations are out of my control. I am not trained in Dermatology, however I do my absolute best to ensure that the highest quality of metals available are used.
Disclaimer: Even some hypoallergenic metals aren't safe for sensitive skin. Everyone is different, with different sensitivities. Please read each piece’s descriptions to become informed of the metals used. Please do not hesitate to reach out with any questions. I want everyone to be as safe and informed as possible.

** Heavy Restoration **
These pieces took a LONG time to get cleaned up and restored. They came to me caked in several decades worth of mileage muck and memories. Others needed repairs as well. Many, many hours spent cleansing away the various journeys it had layer by layer. Starting fresh for your mileage and memories.
The meticulous cleaning, detailing, and polishing by hand is quite an undertaking, particularly with vintage, but one I find profound peace in performing. It makes the process feel more personal. Having to be mindful with delicate parts,tight spaces, and dated attachments takes focus and patience, but I thoroughly enjoy it. A connection is built with the piece as it’s original luster slowly begins to present itself, getting brighter as I go along, coming back to life.
Some of the builds needed not only serious cleaning but a lot of time to create and piece together into one new creation.

At Button and Brass, I know you want authentic and high quality jewelry. In order to do that, you need carefully curated vintage jewelry. The problem is that many businesses are just selling the word "vintage" without valuing the item's history. I understand that beauty, quality, and authenticity are paramount, so I meticulously hunt for vintage items to create something new with a historical background.
Here's how I do it:
I hunt for unique and fascinating quality vintage pieces in any condition. I then painstakingly clean, repair, restore, and research more about the pieces. I restore everything by hand. No machines. I find this process as a form of self care and results in a deeper connection with the piece.
I mix and match the pieces until I see a new creation forming.
Once satisfied, my new creation is uploaded for you to see and appreciate as much as I do.
